Motorboating: “Mira is on the international route of major aquabike events”

The second stage of the European Aquabike Class Pro Circuit Championship is stirring up the waters of Barrinha, in Praia de Mira. Literally. The race will take place today and tomorrow, during the morning and afternoon. During the week, several jet ski activities were held, including Formula Futuro races for children and adapted races for people with disabilities. This is not the first time that Barrinha has hosted international powerboating events. And it probably won't be the last either.

“Mira is on the international route for major aquabike events. Last year it showed that it was a place that all riders from various countries enjoyed. This year, it has more than confirmed its presence, especially because the number of entrants and riders has increased from 110 to 140, compared to 2025”, stated the president of the Portuguese Motorboat Federation, Paulo Ferreira, in statements to DIÁRIO AS BEIRAS.
